When Is Apical Surgery Needed?
Apical surgery may be recommended when infection remains after root canal treatment or where access through the crown of the tooth is not possible because of posts, crowns or complex anatomy.
Rather than removing the tooth, surgery allows us to access the root directly through the surrounding bone, remove the infection and seal the end of the root.
Microsurgical Endodontics
Every procedure is performed under a Dental Operating Microscope using microsurgical instruments and modern biocompatible materials. This allows exceptional precision while minimising trauma to surrounding tissues and improving healing.
Why Refer to Dr Robert Eades?
Dr Robert Eades has undertaken advanced training in microsurgical endodontics with leading UK clinician Dr Bhandari. Combined with over a decade of referral experience and advanced technology, this enables him to manage complex surgical cases referred from dentists throughout Yorkshire.
